Premier League side Manchester United is yet to receive a permanent offer from Roma for Chris Smalling.
Smalling joined Roma on loan at the start of the season after being termed as surplus to requirement at Old Trafford. The England international has impressed in Roma shirt thus far with his work-rate and leadership. As reported by Sky Sports earlier, the Italian side was keen to sign Smalling on a permanent deal of£10m next summer.
However, fresh reports claim that no discussion has taken place between the two clubs. Smalling's contract with the Red Devils is set to expire in the summer of 2020.
Since signing for United in 2010 from Fulham, Smalling has made more than 300 appearances for the Red Devils, winning two Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, one EFL Cup, and one Europa League.
