Jose Mourinho is once again being linked with the job at Borussia Dortmund with rumors strife that the Bundesliga giants are not happy with head coach Lucien Favre.
Mourinho had been linked with the Dortmund job back in October after it emerged that the Portuguese was learning German but the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc denied any truth to the allegations.
“We are not having a coach discussion and are happy to have Lucien Favre,” explained Zorc last month. “These rumors around Mourinho lack any substance.”
The rumors have resurfaced again with France Football that Dortmund very unhappy with Farve after another heavy defeat at Bayern Munich and could be looking to replace the coach in the coming weeks.
It’s believed an early-December hire could be the ideal time to bring Mourinho in, as he would have time to interact with the Dortmund board and scouts over potential swoops in the January market.
Should he ink a deal, Mourinho would have an opportunity to win a title in his fifth different country after claiming titles in England, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
Mourinho has been out of work since parting ways with Manchester United last December.
