Redbull Salzburg head coach Jesse Marsch believes their UEFA Champions League group E matchday 6 encounter against defending Champions, Liverpool is the biggest challenge in most of his players' careers.
Salzburg beat KRC Genk 4-1 to move to seven points and leave themselves just a win away from a historical qualification to the round of 16.
"It's a good moment for our club. We put in a very mature performance, and I'm very proud. Being still in it when we face Liverpool was our aim. It might be the biggest challenge in many of our players' careers," he said.
Liverpool will travel to the Redbull Arena on Tuesday, December 10th to face Salzburg in a must-win the game for the hosts with Liverpool needing just to avoid defeat to progress.
Salzburg currently sits third in the group with seven points while Liverpool leads the group with ten points. Napoli is second with nine points and Genk are bottom with just a single point to their name.
