Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed he may retire earlier than anyone expected.
While Mosimane’s current Sundowns contract is ending next June and with negotiations for a renewal underway, the former Bafana Bafana coach has suggested his next deal is likely to be his last.
"I am 55 years [old] now. I don't know if I can go above 60," Mosimane told Kick Off. So this is my last [upcoming contract], so maybe I must make the best out of it."
The 2016 CAF Coach of the Year is set to go down as the most successful coach in local football history with eight trophies - and it could be nine. Sundowns have a 14 December Telkom Knockout final against Maritzburg United.
Additionally, “Jingles” is also chasing continental history to become the first South African coach to win two CAF Champions Leagues. Sundowns face Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in a group game this Saturday at 21:00.
