Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali is back to the supremo number six we all knew in the past.
The former Orlando Pirates workhorse has been rewarded with a place in the CAF Champions League Team of the Week - thanks to a faultless performance in Morocco against Wydad Casablanca last Saturday night.
Sundowns claimed a point in a goalless draw to remain top of the group after two games. Jali was central to Sundowns’ 349 passes, 68% success completion and nine shots on goal ratios.
The 29-year-old made the TOW alongside the company of some of the continents finest footballers from Zamalek, Al Ahly and Esperance.
Jali’s next job will now be in this week’s two Absa Premiership game against Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday - before the big one against Maritzburg United in a Telkom Knockout final on Saturday evening in Durban.
