The Orlando Pirates team have journeyed for a seemingly unexpected camp ahead of the last league match of 2019.
Club coach Rhulani Mokwena has felt that the team needs to head out of Gauteng. The idea stems from a deflating 2-2 draw against Baroka FC - a game Bucs had led 2-0 until the final 15 minutes.
In what will probably be a demanding camp, Pirates have traveled to a Mpumalanga resort before meeting Black Leopards in Soweto on Saturday 21 December.
“Pirates have traveled to Mpumalanga to prepare for their last match of the year. You can call it a team building exercise of some sort,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
“The team left this morning (Monday), and I hear they will be at Ingwenyama Lodge until the end of the week,” added the source.
Last three results:
- Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 Pirates
- Pirates 3-2 Polokwane
- Baroka 2-2 Pirates.
Next three games:
- Pirates vs Leopards
- Celtic vs Pirates
- Polokwane vs Pirates.
