Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided injury updates on midfielders Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic ahead of the club's Europa League clash against AZ Alkmaar.
Solskjaer has revealed that Pogba is still unavailable for selection but is hoping the Frenchman will be back before the new year. The midfielder, who has made six appearances for United has been on the sidelines since September with an ankle injury.
Teammate Matic is likely to feature against AZ Alkmaar after returning from a groin problem.
"No, it’s too early," he said when asked if Pogba could feature on Thursday.
"Yeah, hope so. He is working hard to get fit and hopefully, we can get him back on the pitch. Let’s get him fit and back in form. He will play loads of games,’ the Norwegian said. ‘He’s one of the best players in the world and we’re looking forward to having him back."
"Diogo [Dalot] is back training fully and Nemanja is back. Marcos Rojo is hopefully back next week. Eric [Bailly] and Timothy [Fosu-Mensah] are training with the team from next week onwards."
United are at the top of Group L with ten points and have already qualified into the round of 32 with a win over Alkmaar will see them seal top spot.
