Following their 4-0 win over AZ Alkmaar, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Manchester United will dip into the transfer market in January.
Ashley Young and Juan Mata also got their names in the scoresheet as United made it three consecutive wins after victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
Speaking in a press conference after the win over Alkmaar, Solskjaer suggested that more new faces could soon arrive at United, "We are looking to strengthen in many positions.
"We are getting there but we still need two or three players to have enough numbers. Addressing the stark improvement in United's second-half performance following a sterile first period."
United have already missed out on the signing of the Red Bull Salzburg attacking midfielder Takumi Minamino, who will join Liverpool in January for just £7.25million after the Reds moved to trigger a release clause.
