Chelsea manager Frank Lampard insists he is happy with the defenders at his disposal, amid increased transfer links with former defender Nathaniel Ake.
The former midfielder has been linked to a number of players following the lifting of a transfer ban imposed on the club from last season.
The former Blues, who was sold to Bournemouth has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League, with reports indicating Lampard would love to take him back to the London club.
Speaking on Friday ahead of their match against the Cherries, Lampard, however, indicated he had enough options at the back, and insisted decisions on the buys they will make will be arrived at in January.
"Nathan came through here but since he’s gone to Bournemouth to play regular football, I think he’s done fantastically well and shown himself to be a really good defender in the Premier League,"
"In terms of the defense that we have I’m very happy and it won’t be something I consider until I feel otherwise. We have to worry about Bournemouth tomorrow, Tottenham next Sunday, Southampton, Arsenal, Brighton, then the window opens,"
Ake will miss the trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday following a hamstring injury he sustained, which will keep him out for at least six weeks.
The defender was substituted last week in their 3-0 loss to Liverpool, and will only be back until the new year.
