Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has compared Mohamed Salah to Lionel Messi, describing the Liverpool forward as a playmaker.
Salah provided the assist for Naby Keita to open scoring and was also involved in the second as Liverpool beat Monterrey in the semifinal of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Speaking to BeIN Sports, the Frenchman said he is impressed with how the Anfield forward has developed as a multifunctional player.
"I like the way of his evolution. Because he had touches last night [against Monterrey] of a playmaker."
"He created chances around the box that are exceptional, there were things of Messi in him last night and I like that a guy who can score so many goals also becomes the guy who gives assists."
"That is a complete player. That's what we all admire and what we want from our players."
Klopp was pleased with Wenger's assessment and said Salah deals with the pressure of being one of the best players on the planet.
