Ghanaian forward Ema Twumasi has officially launched a sports initiative foundation that is aimed at improving the lives of the youth in Ghana according to Ghanasoccernet reports.
The ‘‘Ema Twumasi Foundation’’ will also work with young footballers and afford them opportunities to showcase their skills through Physical Education.
Speaking at the launch ceremony at Wenchi, Twumasi said he comes from very humble beginnings and wanted to use himself as an example to inspire, educate and support the youth to a brighter future.
‘‘Don’t let your parents or anybody deter you from following your dreams. Set a goal for yourself and achieve it but don’t put your education away’’.
“I got the motivation to establish the foundation because this is where it all started, and the people here motivated me to where I am today, so I decided to give back to them, what they had given to me,’’ he said.
The 23-year-old was selected 11th overall in the 2018 Major LS SuperDraft by FC Dallas on January 19, 2017.
He was shipped out on loan to Oklahoma City Energy where he was to be handed his maiden debut off the bench on March 17, 2018.
Twumasi is currently on loan at Austin Bold from FC Dallas.
