๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆโœˆ๏ธ ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท War zone move: Patosi signs for Iranian club

Ayanda Patosi has moved away from Cape Town City to join Iran’s Foolad FC.

The Khayelitsha-born attacker’s switch follows after a loan spell in the United Arab Emirates (UEA) where he spent last season on loan.

Patosi's new Iranian club, Foolad, were excited to announce the scoop via social media. The club confirmed the 27-year-old has joined on a six-month loan.

"South African midfielder Ayanda Patosi joined the Steelers for a half-year loan. Several Iranian teams were looking for this creative midfielder,” posted the club.

"With this loan, the team will certainly compete with more stars in the league and will be significantly strengthening the attacking options."

The former Bafana Bafana attacker moves to Iran during a period of tension. The nation are in conflict with the United States following the killing of prominent military head Qassem Soleimani.
