πŸ‡¬πŸ‡πŸ‘” Ghana appoint new Black Stars head coach

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has named former international player Charles 'CK' Akonnor as the new coach to succeed Kwesi Appiah.

The GFA make the call weeks after the shock dismissal of Appiah and every other national team coach in the FA. Akonnor takes the post after assisting Appiah and coaching Asante Kotoko last season.

“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) appointed Charles Akonnor as its new national team coach to replace Kwesi Appiah,” wrote the leading Ghana Soccer Net publication.

Despite announcing the Ghana U23, U20 new coaches, the GFA has yet to officially confirm Akonnor. Others that were linked with the post include Avram Grant and Argentina's Hector Cuper.
