Paris Saint-Germain boss opens door for Edinson Cavani exit amid Manchester United links

With Manchester United linked to Edinson Cavani, Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel opened the door for the Uruguayan's exit.

According to reports, United have been offered the chance to sign the Uruguay international in the January transfer window.

Cavani has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid after starting just four matches in France’s top flight this season.

Speaking after the 1-0 win over Lorient, Tuchel hinted at Cavani leaving PSG, "I am not sure that Edinson Cavani will be here in February."

PSG sporting director, Leonardo was also uncertain about the former Napoli forward's future, "Edinson Cavani? He asked to leave, we are studying the situation.

"We had a proposal from Atletico Madrid, we did not accept it. I don’t know how it will end."

United are looking for a stop-gap measure in the striking department after Marcus Rashford was ruled out for up to six weeks with a back injury.
