Midweek action: Key fixtures to look out for this week including Chelsea vs Arsenal

The English Premier League action will continue in midweek with a number of matches to look forward to.

After a weekend where none of the top six teams picked maximum points, save for Liverpool, the teams will be looking for a chance to bounce back to winning ways.

Runaway leaders Liverpool will travel to face Wolves, with the London derby pitting Chelsea against Arsenal the biggest match of midweek action.

What other matches are on the cards?

Sheffield vs Manchester City - 21/01/20

The defending champions continued with their indifference form as they drew 2-2 at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's men scored two quick goals in the last 10 minutes to level and take the lead, but Fernandinho's own goal in the 90th minute ruined the party.

Sheffield, on the other hand, battled to a 1-1 draw away to Arsenal on the same day, and this promises to be an exciting contest.

Chelsea vs Arsenal - 21/01/20

The London derby, where form is thrown through the window as the two sides square out, will see the two battle at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard came out on top last time the two sides met in the reverse fixture at Emirates, and Arteta will be eager to avenge the loss.

Lampard will be wary of an Arsenal side fighting to move into the top half and will hope their home form does not come to hurt them.

Manchester United vs Burnley - 22/01/20

Man United's season has seen lots of ups and downs. It worsened with news that their star man Marcus Rashford will be out for a number of weeks, compounding their problems further.

They lost 2-0 away to Liverpool on Sunday and will be keen to bounce back against Burnley, who have stunned Leicester on Sunday, their first win in the last five matches.

Can they cause an upset at Old Trafford?

Wolves vs Liverpool - 23/01/20

Liverpool's march to the title seems unstoppable. They have opened a 16-point gap at the top following their 2-0 win over Man United on Sunday.

Wolves have been a formidable side in recent months and showed their mettle as they battled to a 3-2 win away to Southampton over the weekend.

This promises to be an interesting clash.
