Tanzania U-17 national team on Tuesday stepped up by their preparations for U17 Women's World Cup Qualification return leg against Burundi on Saturday in Bujumbura.
Tanzania hammered their neighbours 5-1 in the first leg match played at National Stadium, Dar es Salaam a fortnight ago.
The Tanzanian coach Bakari Shime attributed the huge win to good preparations and proper goal setting.
“Honestly, the results we have recorded today [Sunday] are the fruits of good preparations we have had as we want to attain our objectives and is a positive start for us in this qualifying matches,” Shime is quoted by Tanzanian website Daily News.
On Tuesday morning, Tanzania Football Federation through their Twitter page announced that the team continues to train for the return leg despite their healthy lead.
The winner of this tie will meet either Uganda or Ethiopia who will be playing in Addis Ababa the same day. Uganda won the first leg 2-1.
