Solskjaer unsure if Marcus Rashford will play again this season

There is a possibility that striker Marcus Rashford might not feature for Manchester United this season this as said by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

In his Tuesday presser ahead of their game against Burnley at Old Trafford, Solskjaer gave no assurances Rashford will return from with the club giving as much time as possible with his recovery.

"Marcus is going to get as long as he needs to get fit. We are not going to risk him when he has had an injury. I have got the best medical staff in the country and I am sure when Marcus comes back he will be 100 per cent fit," Solskjaer said.

Rashford suffered a stress fracture in his back and predictions for his comeback have ranged from six weeks to three months.

The England striker was injured in a collision with Wolves defender Matt Doherty with Solskjaer saying that he had not forced the player to feature in the game after being blamed for risking United’s top scorer this season.

The injury to Rashford has been blamed on the workload put on the striker following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan with United failing to sign a replacement.

The departure of Lukaku and Sanchez has left Solskjaer to depend on Rashford, Anthony Martial and 18-year-old Mason Greenwood for goals.
