Manchester United have been linked to Bruno Fernandes with his agent Jorge Mendes confirming that his client will leave Sporting Lisbon but not necessarily this month.
United have been interested in the Portuguese midfielder since the July transfer window but they want to spend around £50million on him with Sporting holding out for £70million.
According to reports, Fernandes is desperate to leave Sporting in the January transfer window, but he might not get a move this month.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Mendes provided a transfer update on Fernandes, "If he doesn't leave now, he will leave for sure in the summer because Sporting have already spoken with other clubs.
"Something will happen but I am not sure if now or at the end of the season."
Fernandes has played twice against Benfica and Braga since it was reported that he had agreed on personal terms with Manchester United.
The Portuguese failed to say goodbye to the Sporting fans after the Braga match, and pushed a camera out of his way as he exited the pitch.
