Ex-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has confirmed he is at peace with the Ghana Football Association and is behind CK Akonnor.
As published here on Futaa late last month, the GFA went against handing Kwesi Appiah a new contract as his two-year deal ended. The dramatic decision was followed by the appointment of his assistant CK Akonnor as head coach.
“My contract ended on December 31 and the FA decided not to renew my contract. I don’t have a problem with that because it was their decision,” Appiah told Asempa FM.
“I have no issue with that because I did my best for the country but if I were to leave before my contract ended, that would have been difficult for me.”
The former Asante Kotoko coach concluded his reaction by expressing good wishes and full support for the GFA's new man. “I did my best for Ghana but CK Akonnor is in charge. Let’s all support him so we can meet our target.”
