Jozef Zinnbauer has had a flying start with Orlando Pirates in the Absa Premiership, the German has revealed what he has achieved four wins in five.
Following Zinnbauer's appointment in December, Pirates launched into a winning streak of 13 points from 15. This included 12 goals scored and four conceded.
“All the chances and goals you see at the moment is as a result of the work in training, and that shows we are a unit at the moment,” said Zinnbauer to Kick Off.
The 49-year-old added that the secreted lies around the team’s reaction when in and out possession. “We work well with and without the ball, but it’s not as easy as scoring 10 goals in one game – that’s a dream, but it’s not impossible.
“But for me, it’s better if we win games and play well in most of them, if we play as a unit and keep a good shape, and we work well with and without the ball – that right now is important for me.
The former Hamburg coach concluded to say that the team is however not where he expects them to be as yet.
“We’ve had maybe four weeks of working together now, and the players don’t have 100 percent of the plan we want [to execute] yet, with or without the ball.”
Pirates next welcome the struggling AmaZulu to Soweto this Saturday at 18:00.
