Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur is in talks with Chelsea over the availability of striker Olivier Giroud.
Reports from Sky Sports journalist Gianluca di Marzio that Spurs are willing to offer the French striker a 1.5-year contract and are confident of landing the player.
Spurs are in the window for a striker due to the unavailability of captain Harry Kane with Giroud keen for a move to boost his chances of featuring in the Euro 2020.
Giroud has constantly been linked with a move to Inter Milan but Inter board is convinced they have done enough in the transfer period after acquiring the services of Ashley Young, Victor Moses and Christian Eriksen.
Chelsea is not of the idea of selling any of their players to a direct rival and are willing to let Giroud stay if he can’t find a better deal outside England.
The rumour of Giroud moving to Spurs has not gone well with Arsenal fans who think the striker should not even think of joining their North London rivals; this because Giroud featured for them previously.
