Mark Mayambela has become a free agent after leaving Absa Premiership side Cape Town City.

Following his move to the Citizens as a free agent in October 2019, Mayambela has confirmed departing Hartleyvale with the club yet to announce the exit.

Former Benni McCarthy is believed to have applied sustained pressure on a reluctant John Comitis to sign the Khayelitsha-born forward.

"I am no longer with the club. We have gone separate ways," Mayembela told Kick Off before confirming the status of his next move. “At the moment I am discussing my future with my agent.”

The 32-year-old player is one of the most traveled players in the league having been at places like Bloemfontein Celtic, Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United, Ajax Cape Town, Chippa United and Mpumalanga Black Aces.
