After electing to start with Willy Caballero, Frank Lampard has explained why he dropped Kepa Arrizabalaga for their clash against Leicester City.
Kepa became the world's most expensive goalkeeper when he made the £72million move from Athletico Bilbao back in 2018.
The Spanish shot-stopper has made blunders in recent games with the latest coming in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal as he conceded a goal from Hector Bellerin's shot in a tight angle.
Speaking just before the Leicester clash, Lampard revealed why he dropped Kepa, "It’s a decision I have not taken lightly.
"They train together, they are close and it’s one I thought I’d make for this game. I trust in Willy, he’s very professional."
The game ended in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea now just seven points clear of Manchester United who face Wolverhampton Wanderers later on in the day.
