A player’s name being removed for the team sheets is not an unusual thing to happen in football at the moment, and it mostly happens when players are being punished for breaking the club’s rules.
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Parma has officially announced that 32-year-old Ivorian forward Gervinho has been removed from the squad and will undergo individual training sessions.
The report adds that, the former Arsenal forward repeatedly missed multiple training sessions last week, and there was no explanation given.
The player who is contracted to the side until 2022, was said to be close to a move to Qatari with Al-Sadd and since the move did not materialize, this might be the trigger.
Gervinho has made 18 appearances across all competitions for Parma this season.
