Ghana international Majeed Waris found the back of the net in for Strasbourg as they went on to secure a 3-0 victory against Stade Reims at the weekend, Ghanasoccernet reported.
Waris came off the bench against Toulouse in a midweek fixture to hand Strasbourg a much-needed win - all he needed was an opportunity to showcase what he can do when he finds a gap.
The 28-year-old's impressive performance in the abovementioned game was the motivation manager Thierry Laurey needed to hand him a start against Stade Reims on Sunday.
He scored the side's second goal of the match in the 82nd minute following Aleksander Djiku's opener in the 50th minute of the contest.
Kenny Lala netted the third goal in the 94minute to bring an end to the match for the hosts at Stade de la Meinau.
