Lille forward Victor Osimhen is set to be examined by the club to know the severity of the injury he sustained over the weekend.
Osimhen was forced off with an injury during Lille's 2-0 win over Angers over the weekend with his place being taken by Nicolás Gaitán in the 80th minute. The Nigerian striker is suspected to have suffered a muscle injury and he could miss the next match against Olympique Marseille on February 16th.
The 21-year-old netted the first goal for Lille in the 14th minute, making it his 17th goal of the campaign with Renato Sanches grabbing the second in the 75th minute. The Nigerian will now undergo a test on the injured leg to check if he will be will available for selection over the weekend.
His head coach Christopher Galtier played down any serious damage during a post-match interview but he admitted they must wait for further tests.
