Ernst Middendorp may not sweat the FIFA transfer ban Kaizer Chiefs face - thanks to several youngsters he has already begun grooming.
As reported by Futaa last weekend, Amakhosi have been slapped with a two-year transfer ban after FIFA found the club guilty of disregarding the expectation to pay for Andriamirado 'Dax' Andrianarimanana’s transfer in 2018.
Responding to how Chiefs could manage two transfer windows without signing any footballers, coach Middendorp confirmed he has enough talent from the club’s development structures.
“If that is the final outcome once everything is on the table then we will find a solution. Basically, we have a qualified PSL squad and setup so far, and most of the players have contracts with a view to the next season,” Middendorp told KickOff.
“We have some good young guys like Happy [Mashiane], Njabulo Blom, [Nkosingiphile] Ngcobo, who we’ve used already [in the PSL], and there’s also four more players in the second division with Swallows, doing the job over there and getting competitive minutes,” he added.
Chiefs youngsters on loan at Swallows:
- Given Thibedi (22) - Defender-cum-midfielder
- Ayanda Rorwana (21) - Midfielder
- Itumeleng Shopane (22) - Striker
- Sizwe Twala (22) - Forward.
