West Ham defender Winston Reid has officially signed with Major League Soccer (MLS) side Sporting Kansas on a loan deal, Evening Standard reported.
Reid is set to join the Sporting Kansas squad ahead of the 2019/20 season which is set to kick off in March for the United States.
West Ham's co-chairman David Gold revealed the news on Saturday morning via social media: "I can confirm that Winston Reid has just completed the documentation for his temporary transfer to Sporting Kansas City in the MLS. Good luck Winston," he wrote.
The 31-year-old was brought to West Ham from Danish side FC Midtjylland back in August 2010 and became the club's longest-running player being captain Mark Noble before making the move to the MLS.
Reid scored ten goals from 222 appearances for the Hammers and was awarded the Player of the Year during the 2012/13 season.
However, the New Zealand has been struggling with injury woes which have limited game time for the Hammers leading to no Premier League experience since March 2018.
