Former Ghana Premier League top goalscorer Eric Bekoe has backed Aduana Stars forward Yahaya Mohammed to be handed his national team call-up, Goal reported.
Yahaya has been having an outstanding season scoring ten goals after 11 matches played in the Ghana Premier League.
“Yahaya deserves to be in the team [Black Stars] because he is doing it for Aduana Stars," Bekoe said.
"We don’t have to argue whether or not the player should be handed a call-up.
"If he is performing why should he be left out of the squad - he deserves better than that."
Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor is expected to name his first squad ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Sudan in March.
