🏆🇹🇿 Clubs focus on Azam Cup as Tanzania league takes a break

Azam Sports Federation Cup, better known as Azam Cup, last-16 action takes centre stage as Tanzania Premier League action takes a week break.

The last 16 round action takes place on February 25 and 26 at various grounds across Tanzania.

This tournament presents an opportunity for Premier League clubs to have a shot of winning silverware this season as Simba looks set to secure the 2019/2020 title after establishing a huge 17-point gap at the top.

In the last 16, JKT will take on Alliance in an all-Premier League match as Kagera Sugar welcome KMC in the other all-TPL encounter.

League leaders Simba SC will be away at Shinyanga to play second division side stand United. Yanga will welcome another second division side Gwambina as Mbeya City host high-riding Namungo.

Panama play Sahare All-Stars at Uhuru Stadium while Ihefu hosts second-placed Azam at Sokoine Grounds. The last match of the day will be between Ndanda and Kitayosa at Nangwanda Stadium.

The winner of Azam Cup will represent Tanzania in next season's CAF Confederation Cup.
