Manchester United ace Juan Mata has sent a message of encouragement to many of the club's young players as they push for regular playing time.
A good number of youngsters have made the step-up from the academy in the current season, and have impressively adapted to playing at the highest level.
The Spaniard has however warned them that challenges will always arise and that they should be ready to fight to stay afloat.
“They know that I am here for them, and I’m here for any of my team-mates," he said as quoted by the club's official website.
"I have been in the same position that they are in now, which is at the front door of their professional careers, so from now it’s very important that they are ready for it and that they stay physically fit and mentally tough because there are some challenges ahead.
"And I hope they can find the consistency that is needed to be a professional football player. I think they have the qualities and hopefully, they will also, during the process, learn the other things too.” he added.
Mason Greenwood, Brandon Williams, and Scott McTominay are some of the young players who've shown they have what it takes to compete at the highest level, putting in impressive displays anytime they are called upon.
Many are also fighting for the chance to impress, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer showing the willingness to help them grow.
