Newcastle United join race to sign AZ Alkmaar striker Myron Boadu

Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Myron Boadu has emerged on the radar of several clubs across the world following his breakout season with AZ Alkmaar which has seen him called up for the Dutch national team.

Boadu has already been monitored by clubs such as AC Milan, Bayer Leverkusen to name a few while Premier League side Newcastle United are believed to have joined the race to acquire his signature.

The 19-year-old has scored 19 goals across all competitions this season while providing eights assists in the process - he has also found the back of the net at the rate of one goal every 139 minutes.

According to Ghana Guardian, AZ Alkmaar have put a £17.5 million price tag on their star player and it seems he will be the ideal fit for the Magpies who have been struggling to score goals this season, however, they will be plenty stiff competition to fight off.
