🇹🇿 Tanzania coach Ndiragije says no room for complacency for national team stars

Tanzania national team coach Etienne Ndiragije has said that he will have to call players for the next Taifa Stars camp based on their form when the football break is over.

The Burundi-born tactician has said that it is no guarantee that those players that had been called up in the disbanded camp will automatically be invited for the next assignment.

Taifa Stars had been scheduled to camp in Turkey as preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tunisia as well as the sixth edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) that was due to take place in Cameroon in April.

The qualifying matches and the CHAN tournament were cancelled as cases of coronavirus increased rapidly across the continent leading to the suspension of football activities and public gatherings.

Ndiragije had planned to use all players in camp for the AFCON qualifiers before allowing foreign-based players to leave and local-based legion would have continued for the CHAN preparations.
