Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes Manchester United forward Anthony Martial can become a top player if he keeps working to fulfill his potential.
This was revealed by Lee Dixon, another Arsenal legend, who spoke to Henry on Arsenal podcast; Handbrake Off.
Henry likened Martial's current situation to his early days at Arsenal when he largely struggled for consistency.
He would later take off and attained iconic status at the London club, and he believes Martial can achieve the same.
“He’s exactly like I was when I came to Arsenal. He needs to go through the process like I did with you lot and I don’t know if the Manchester United dressing room is like that,” he replied to the question on what he thought Martial was like.
Martial announced his arrival at the Manchester club with a goal in his debut against Liverpool, immediately drawing comparisons with Henry.
He has however not hit the levels many expected him to, with his time dogged with inconsistent performances.
The 24-year-old was well on course to match, and even better his best scoring record at the club which stands at 17, before the league was interrupted by the Coronavirus.
He has been one of the club's best players in this campaign, and his 16 goals in all competitions were enough to prove the same.
