Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has denied the rumors that Manchester City and Bayern Munich are in talks for a transfer swap involving Leroy Sane and David Alaba.
Recent reports in the media claimed that Bayern was prepared to offer City the chance to sign Austrian defender Alaba providing that Sane moved in the opposite direction.
However, Rummenigge has insisted that the proposed swap "has nothing to do with reality".
"As I've heard, rumors are circulating that we would like to hand David Alaba over to Manchester City in exchange for Leroy Sane," he told TZ. "In addition, I say very clearly: This is Grimm's Fairy Tale and has nothing to do with reality."
City winger Sane was linked with a move to Bayern in the summer but he suffered a long term injury that had the said transfer canceled.
