Aouar signed a five-year deal with Lyon in 2018 hence he could cost potential suiters more than £40m. After impressed, the 21-year-old has attracted interests from Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City. Italian giants Juventus are also monitoring the French Under-21 ace but Lyon chief Jean-Michel Aulas is hopeful of keeping him at the club.
"The player’s opinion is always essential. Keeping a player against their will is not reasonable," Aulas told the club website.
"Houssem has not expressed the desire to leave. Our will is to try to keep him even if the demands are high. There is no negotiation in progress."
