Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund has received a blow with the news that defender Achraf Hakimi's will be returning to parent Real Madrid at the end of the season.
The Moroccan international had signed a two-year loan deal with Dortmund which ends in June and according to the player’s agent Alejandro Camano who denied an approach from Inter Milan, his client will be returning to Madrid
“There is no such offer (on Inter Milan links). We will return to Madrid,” Camano told El Mundo Deportivo.
In an earlier interview with Cadena Ser, the player himself said he had a contract with Real Madrid and said that all questions concerning his future were to be handled by his agent.
“My contract with Real Madrid? My agent deals with that it, I'm not very aware of that I don't know how much I have left. It is still the same contract that I signed in 2017, there has been no change.
In March in an interview with AS, the player said he saw his future at Madrid and would get back if they wanted him back since he had enjoyed his time with them.
“Real Madrid is the club I call home. I've really enjoyed my time there and played lots of games there. If Real Madrid wants me to go back, I'll go back. And if not, I will need to write the next chapter at another great club,” he said.
With Madrid having Dani Carvajal as their preferred right back with Alvaro Odriozola and Nacho Fernandez as back up, Hakimi is being linked with a permanent move away from Spain with Premier League trio of Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal all said to be interested.
