Senegal international Mbaye Niang is on his way out of French side Stade Rennais after falling out with the manager.
Niang on Sunday told French TV Canal+ that he was looking for another challenge saying that he would like to join Olympique Marseille or any other bigger club.
The statement did not sit well with Rennais manager Julien Stephan who says that it is clear that Mbaye does not share his vision at the club and he is free to leave.
“Everyone is free to say what they want to say. We need to have everyone fully integrated into my project here in Rennes," he said.
The Breton-based club is now willing to let go of the former AC Milan attacker who is currently valued at £20million.
Mbaye's contract at Rennais runs until June 2023.
