English Premier League giants Liverpool have contacted Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele in recent days.
According to Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Liverpool has contacted the player who is being considered a surplus to requirements by the Laliga side.
In the article, Di Marzio further states that Liverpool are looking to have the player on a loan deal before making it a permanent one later on but the player has insisted that he wants to stay at Camp Nou to fight for his place.
It is not clear how much Barcelona is requesting for a deal to materialize with the reports indicating that Liverpool might force the player to take a wage cut if he is to move to England.
The 23-year-old has struggled with injuries in Spain since moving from Borussia Dortmund with reports rife that Barcelona is in the market for a perfect winger to slot in his position.
It's not the first time Dembele is being linked with a move to Anfield with Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo claiming on Monday that Liverpool would consider making a move for Dembele if they cant get Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
