Burnley have joined 12 other clubs in the race to sign Lyle Taylor who is soon to be out-of-contract at Charlton Athletic, Sky Sports confirmed.
Rangers are also believed to be keen on his services as well but reports claim that Taylor could be swayed by the tempting offer that Sivasspor has put on the table.
The 30-year-old revealed to Sky Sports News in May that he had not returned to training with the rest of the team as he feared he could get injured and put a damper on a potential big move.
"It makes me think about what would happen if I had an injury now that threatened the rest of my career. I'll be honest with you, it scared the life out of me," Taylor told Sky Sports in an interview.
"That's my honest reasoning [for not returning]. I know it won't sit well with people but it's been a very hard decision to make."
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer said he understood why Taylor had to make the decision he did but feels disappointed to be losing a valuable player.
Taylor scored 11 goals from 22 league appearances this season while he has accumulated a total of 36 goals from 67 matches since joining them from AFC Wimbledon in the summer of 2018.
