Jamie Vardy ended his goal drought with a double against Crystal Palace on Saturday to open a two-goal lead at the top of the Premier League's scoring charts.
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who won last season's boot alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, caught up with Vardy at the top on 19 goals, following his double against Norwich last week.
Vardy however scored the historic brace; with his first taking him into the '100 club', becoming the 29th player to hit 100 Premier League goals.
"I am absolutely over the moon," Vardy told Sky Sports afterward. "First and foremost it was about the win today, getting back to basics and putting in a performance.
Aubameyang did not find the net against Wolves on the same day, same as third-placed Danny Ings, who is currently on 18.
Mane too added to his tally with his opener for Liverpool against Aston Villa, taking his total to 16, same as Manchester City's Sergio Aguero.
Manchester United duo of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were the other two in the top 10 bracket to score over the weekend, and they remain tied on 15 goals each with five more rounds to go.
