Football action continued on Monday with a host of games happening in the Premier League, the Serie A and the Laliga.
In the Serie A, Inter Milan moved back up to the second spot after coming from behind to beat Torino 3-1 thanks to three goals in the space of 13 minutes at the San Siro.
The visitors had taken a surprising 15th-minute lead through Andrea Belotti but former Manchester United winger Ashley Young levelled moments after the restart before Diego Godin struck in the 51st minute.
Lautaro Martinez doubled Inter’s lead in the 61st minute as they went above Lazio in the standings.
Inter are now on 68 points; the same number of points as Lazio who have an inferior goal difference-both teams being eight points below leaders Juventus.
In the Spanish Laliga, Real Madrid recorded a 2-1 win over Granada to inch close to the Laliga title.
And while everyone was concentrating on the team, Karim Benzema who scored the second goal was closing on the golden boot race with his strike-the the 19th of the season-being just three short of leader Lionel Messi.
The Frenchman will hope that he can eclipse the Barcelona captain before the season ends with Madrid still having ties against Villarreal and Leganes. Messi’s Barcelona has a date with Osasuna and Alaves in their last two games.
