Ugandan star Khalid Aucho threatens to quit Egyptian side over unpaid wages

Former Gor Mahia star Khalid Aucho has threatened to terminate his contract with Egyptian side Misr-el-Makkasa due to unpaid wages.

The Uganda international has not received ny of his wages for the past seven months, his agent Stevenson Kooza told Kawowo Sports.

“Khalid Aucho is filing for termination of contract because he demands seven unpaid months with the amount coming to Shs 300M [1.3 million Egyptian pounds],” Kakooza noted.

Aucho joined El-Makkasa last summer from Indian side Churchill Brothers where he stayed for one season.

The 26-year-old played eight of his team’s league games this season, scoring once. He also appeared in their first game in the Egypt Cup where they beat Pharco 1-0, before eventually losing to Tala’a El-Geish in the round of 16.

The 38-capped midfield maestro has previously turned out for a number of clubs including Tanzania’s Simba SC, Tusker FC and Gor Mahia in Kenya. He has played in South African and Serbian leagues.
