Egyptian Premier League club Wadi Degla is reportedly interested in signing Ghanaian star Asamoah Gyan, who is currently a free agent.
Ghanaian media reports that the Egyptian side has inquired about the possibility of bringing the record Black Stars goalscorer to Egyptian Premier League, who has been clubless since terminating his contract with Indian top division side NorthEast United.
However, Wadi Degla have denied interest in the 33-year-old saying that they have no contact with his representatives.
Gyan is the Black Stars’ all-time leading scorer with 51 goals after earning 106 caps for his country. He has also represented them in three World Cups as well as six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
Gyan signed for Indian Super League on a free transfer after the end of his contract with Kayserispor of Turkey in summer 2019. However, he has been without a club after his spell came to an end in January 2020.
