🗣️ Eymael opens up on Yanga sacking, why he called fans dogs & monkeys

Former Yanga coach Luc Eymael says he was provoked by Simba fan into making racist remarks that saw him sacked.

Eymael was fired on Monday by Yanga after he made racist remarks against Tanzania football fans as he referred to the supporters as 'monkeys and illiterate' during a heated post-match interview this weekend. The Belgian has stopped short of offering an apology for the remarks and he has revealed he was provoked by Simba fans into making them.

"On Wednesday I was very frustrated after the game... I was disappointed with the direction of the fans," Eymael explained as quoted by Allafrica.com.

"I didn't go for the interview, just went straight to my hotel. All people were calling me (names) but I did not want to respond. Then there is this one guy from Simba who kept harassing me, and I reacted," he said.
