Paul Pogba scored the final goal to help Manchester United into the Carabao Cup final eight after a 3-0 win over Brighton on Wednesday night.
While United needed a late controversial winner to beat Brighton 3-2 in the league last weekend, Wednesday night’s Cup game was a comfortable win.
Red Devils midfielder Scott McTominay nodded home Juan Mata's free-kick to open the scoring in the first half. The little Spanish maestro went from assistant to scorer, as he killed the game with a neat finish for 2-0 midway through the second half.
Substitute French superstar Paul Pogba buried Burnley with a deflected free-kick on 80 minutes.
The last eight draw will be made on 1 October after Liverpool and Arsenal’s last 16 clash.
