🔵 Spurs working to finalize loan deal for Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius

Tottenham Hotspur are very close to finishing a deal for Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius on a season-long loan.

As widely reported, Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has expressed the open search for a backup striker for Harry Kane, with Benfica’s 25-year-old Vinicius looking to fit the need.

Vinicius, who scored 24 goals last season, has a large release clause on his contract as the talks continue ahead of deadline day on Monday 5 October.

“Should the move go through, the loan is likely to contain an option for Tottenham to turn the transfer into a permanent deal for 45m euros (£40.83m),” added BBC Sport.
