Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko has admitted that he misses Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen in the team.
Eriksen left Spurs last January to join Inter Milan and despite not having the impact he had hoped for in the Serie A, Sissoko feels that the player who was his teammate at Spurs for two-and-a-half years is missed.
In a question and answer session on his Instagram page, Sissoko was asked if he missed having Eriksen at Tottenham. He replied: "Yes. Nice man and an amazing player."
Eriksen had been linked with a return to Spurs earlier in the summer but a deal was never a possibility with reports indicating that the midfielder had broken ranks with manager Jose Mourinho.
Sissoko sentiments might be a dent to fellow midfield partner Ndombele who has struggled at the club and with Spurs set to take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday evening, it will be another perfect opportunity for the Frenchman to prove his worth for Mourinho.
Ndombele’s last trip to the Clarets’ home ended in ignominy with Mourinho withdrawing him at half time before blaming the player after the game for not giving his best for the team.
