πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬πŸ¦… Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong speaks ahead of crucial Sierra Leone clash

Watford defender William Troost-Ekong has pleaded with the Nigeria national team to keep their eyes on the prize when they take on Sierra Leone in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles let slip a solid 4-0 lead in the reverse and had to settle for a draw and now they will be hoping to bounce back and secure a crucial victory.

Troost-Ekong affirmed that the team has been training hard and are ready for the challenge that lays ahead and knows they will have to go above and beyond to secure three points at home.

”We are ready, we just finished a good practice session and everyone’s ready for the game tomorrow,” Troost-Ekong said as quoted by Goal.

“We prepare like any other game with this team (Sierra Leone). We don’t underestimate anyone and if we can just bring what we did in the first half of the last game and make sure we keep concentrated and see out the game, I think we have a good chance to do what we need to do.

“They (Nigerian fans) will see a team that is very hungry to get the win here. We want to qualify as soon as possible and it is up to us to do it on Tuesday.”
