Bruno Fernandes' exceptional form for Manchester United continued on Tuesday night when he netted a brace as the Reds ran out 4-1 winners over Basaksehir in the Champions League.
The double saw Fernandes, who arrived at the club in January, take his tally to 21 goals from 35 games.
The 26-year-old has now reached the 20-goal landmark quicker than any midfielder in United’s history.
Also, only three players, all of whom are strikers, have racked up such numbers in a shorter space of time this century.

Bruno, whose penalties have always sparked conversations online, has thanked his teammates for their help and support.
“Penalties help! Everyone will say that, for sure!” Bruno enthused, after Tuesday’s game. “My team-mates have helped me a lot. It was really important the way everyone helped me in the first days and games, so I’m really happy.
“Everything I’m doing on the pitch is with the help of my team-mates, the staff and everyone.
“It’s important for me but the most important thing is helping the team and I think I can help a little bit more.”
